About the Event
HKUiPCC 2021 encourages students to think critically, analytically and creatively to present policy solutions to current issues in environmental synthetic biology. Secondary school students from all schools are invited to research, design and present their team’s policy proposals related to environmental synthetic biology technologies and applications.
During the competition, experts across bioethics, synthetic biology, and environmental science will come together to conduct knowledge sharing sessions for participants to learn more about these fields and refine their skills in policy memo writing and presentation.
Participants will have their proposals evaluated by these experts and given actionable feedback. If your team is selected to advance, you will present your solutions in a live presentation session in the final round.
HKUiPCC is a great way for students to gain hands-on experience in policy-making outside the classroom while diving deeper into cases within environmental science and synthetic biology. The winning team will receive a prize and a meeting with leading minds in the field of policy!
